AUSTIN (KXAN) — After Black Friday and Cyber Monday, don’t put your wallet away yet, it’s now Giving Tuesday.

Today everyone is encouraged to volunteer or make donations to local, national, and international charities.

The one-day charitable giving promotion launched in 2012. Since most charities generate a vast majority of their contributions at the end of the year, Giving Tuesday has opened the door to a more organized effort on a specific day.
