Arson suspected in Northeast Austin warehouse fire

AUSTIN (KXAN) — Fire investigators say a fire at a warehouse Sunday morning in Northeast Austin was intentionally set.

Flames broke out around 5:30 a.m. at the Austin Countertops at 1108 Bluff Bend Drive, near East Braker Lane and I-35.

It took firefighters about 10 minutes to knock down the fire.

No one was inside the facility when crews arrived.

The Austin Fire Department is working with the Austin Police Department on the investigation.

They say someone may have broken into the building and set the fire.

The fire caused about $45,000 in damage.
