Barton Springs Pool reopens

AUSTIN (KXAN) — While the weather cools off it may seem too cold to take a dip, but for those swimmers who don’t mind the decreasing temperatures they can once again visit Barton Springs Pool.

Austin Parks and Recreation Department has announced the pools reopening Friday, Nov. 20, at 5:00 a.m.

The pool has been closed due to repairs being made following the October flooding. Some areas of Barton Springs will remain closed while additional repairs are made.

The lap pool will be completely open.

Swimmer can enjoy the pool Nov. 20 through March 11, 2016.

You can swim at your own risk everyday from 5 a.m. to 8 a.m. and then from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.

There will be a life guard on duty from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The pool will be closed every Thursday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. for cleaning.
