DALLAS (AP) — Police are trying to determine who shot an Arlington officer at a Dallas gas station during an operation involving a special task force.
Police did not immediately announce any arrests following the gunfire around dawn Thursday. The wounded officer is expected to survive.
Arlington police Chief Will Johnson says the officer was in good condition and good spirits at a Dallas hospital. Johnson provided the information after visiting the officer.
The officer’s name and details on his injuries weren’t immediately released.
Police did not immediately provide further information on the law enforcement task force or what led to the gunfire.
