ROUND ROCK, Texas (KXAN) — The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) is hosting an educational open house Tuesday evening for its diverging diamond project in Round Rock.

Crews will move traffic over to the opposite side of the roadway for the final lane configuration for the project at I-35 and RM 1431/University Blvd.

The open house will take place at Teravista Club House at 4211 Teravista Club Drive in Round Rock from 4:30 to 7:00 p.m Tuesday. The event is being held to help drivers review how to drive through a diverging diamond intersection (DDI).

TxDOT engineers will be available to explain DDI diagrams and answer questions on a one-on-one basis. A brief presentation video will be shown at 5:30 p.m.

For those unable to attend, TxDOT has a diverging diamond fact sheet available here, as well as additional information on the project.
