AUSTIN (KXAN) — The Long Center is unveiling their plans for a new downtown outdoor venue, expected to open in 2016.
Through a partnership between Nederlander Concerts and the promotional firm TAG Presents LLC, the Paragon Presents partnership will produce live shows across Austin. Their main focus is the new outdoor venue at the Long Center, Skyline Theater.
“We are committed to providing the best experience for the community and artists,” said the CEO of Nederlander Concerts, Alex Hodges. “Paragon Presents can produce top notch live concert experiences as an independent, hands-on promoter, and we are excited to help debut the new Skyline Theater at the Long Center.”
Opening in the spring of 2016, the Skyline Theater will be able to host a capacity of 7,000 people. The new theater already has plans for music concerts across all genres.
“Live music should be focused on connecting with the fans’ hearts, not connecting with their wallets,” said Paul Thorton, President of TAG Presents LLC. “It is about the creativity, joy and connection fans feel. Paragon Presents’ mission is to bring back that independence and creativity that originally built the live music industry.
