HOUSTON, Texas (KXAN) — People in Houston received a big shock after discovering a 12-foot alligator behind a shopping center.
Alligator hunter, Christi Kroboth and an officer tried to tie up the giant 12 and a half foot, 800 pound, 50 year old alligator. The alligator is so big they nick-named it Godzilla.
Kroboth said she is licensed with the state end got the call from Sugar Land police early Saturday morning.
It is unclear how the alligator made its way to the shopping center.
“We tried several different attempts on how to catch him. Finally, we thought we had him wore out enough to put two people on the back of him and hold his mouth that way and kinda outweigh him which clearly did not work,” said Kroboth.

Once its snout was all wrapped up, and his legs tied up, it took a fork life from the Home Depot nearby to load him up.
Kroboth said the big guy will be taken to an alligator farm where he will live out the remainder of his life with other alligators in a safe sanctuary.
