AUSTIN (KXAN)- Money meant for sheriff’s departments across the state could be in jeopardy.

Texas Governor Greg Abbott says he will withhold funding if sheriffs don’t comply with immigration laws.

Federal workers want county jails to hold undocumented immigrants with criminal records.
