SAN MARCOS, Texas (KXAN) – Due to flooding in San Marcos, students at Travis Elementary had, what was hopefully, a once in a lifetime evacuation experience.

Around 1:45 p.m. Friday San Marcos CISD began transporting students from Travis Elementary to Goodnight Middle School with a Mine-Resistant Ambush Protected vehicle and swift boats.

Parents were able to pick their kids up once they arrived at Goodnight Middle School.
