Austin Police launching initiative to build community trust

AUSTIN (KXAN) — Austin Police are investing an idea: giving the community more information to build trust.

This is a part of a national program, Rebuilding and Creating Community Trust, aimed at helping communities across the country.

Austin Police Chief Art Acevedo was just in Washington D.C. getting an update.

As a part of the initiative APD released 14 years worth of information detailing 99 police shooting cases.
