AUSTIN (KXAN) — It’s that time of year when the sniffles take over and people start getting sick.

To keep patients safe during flu season, Dell Children’s Hospital will start restricting visitors today.

Today until March, Dell Children’s will not allow brothers, sisters or any other kids ages 12 and under to visit patients.

In addition, all visitors must pass a screening process at the hospital to ensure they are healthy enough to visit patients.

The restriction does not apply to those who are 13 and older who are healthy.
