Study: Red wine may help those with type 2 diabetes

U.S. (KXAN) — A glass of red wine a day may keep the doctor away; for people with type two diabetes that is.

Researchers in Israel found that red wine helps increase levels of good cholesterol, which is often low among diabetics.

By a drinking a daily glass of red wine those with type two diabetes can improve their heart health.

The researchers also found that wine does not improve blood sugar control, blood pressure, body fat or liver function.
