AUSTIN (KXAN)- Austin ISD officials are breaking ground Tuesday morning on a unique construction site on the campus of Crockett High School in South Austin.
Students will join workers in finishing up the construction technology building on the Crockett campus.
The district says the exterior of the building will be built by professionals, but Crockett students will be able to work on the interior.
District officials say the $2 million building should be ready by April 2016.
This is part of the Architecture/Construction program offered at Crockett which part of a district-wide program called Career and Technical Education.
