NEW BRAUNFELS (KXAN) — The suspect in a New Braunfels homicide was arrested Tuesday in Killeen, according to the New Braunfels police department.

At around 2:25 a.m. Tuesday morning, Domingo Perez, Jr. was found dead outside of a gas station at the intersection of I-35 and Ruekle Road. An arrest warrant for murder was issued against 23-year-old Federico Trejo, Jr.

Detectives with New Braunfels police, in collaboration with the US Marshal’s Lone Star Fugitive Task Force out of San Antonio, determined Trejo had fled to Killeen.
