One person dead after crash on E. Slaughter Lane

AUSTIN (KXAN) — One person is dead after a two-vehicle collision in Southeast Austin on Monday afternoon.

The Department of Public Safety says the crash happened around 3:45 p.m. in the 1600 block of East Slaughter Lane. Two injured people were taken to the hospital where one died a short time later.

The victim has been identified as 68-year-old Mary Schettler Bourland, according to the medical examiner’s office.
