Missing Montgomery County man found safe

The Sheriff's Office says Standley Paul Short, 79, was last seen driving a white diamond, 2012 Cadillac Escalade with Texas License Plate BL16687.

AUSTIN (KXAN) — Update-Standley has been found and the Silver Alert has been discontinued.


The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a man who went missing Sunday afternoon.

The Sheriff’s Office says Standley Paul Short, 79, was last seen driving a white diamond, 2012 Cadillac Escalade with Texas License Plate BL16687, while wearing a white button-down long sleeve shirt, blue jeans, a black belt, and black shoes.

Standley has been diagnosed with a Cognitive Impairment, and is missing half of his nose.

Law enforcement believes this senior citizen’s disappearance poses a credible threat to his own health and safety.
