TEXAS (KXAN) — The Texas Lyceum poll has just released their results finding that most Texans believe the top issue the state faces is immigration.
The poll was taken by the non-partisan, non-profit Lyceum leadership group. They found that Texans support lawmakers increasing their spending on border security.
The poll also found that almost half, 49 percent, of Texans support gay marriage.
Additionally the majority of Texans, 46 percent, are fully in support of legalizing marijuana. This number is up 13 percent over the past four years.
Texans also don’t see a problem encouraging their children to play football. 72 percent of Texans would happily watch their kids on the field, which is almost double the national average of 40 percent.
