Man hurt when train smashes truck

ROUND ROCK (KXAN) — A truck crashed with a train around 8:53 p.m. Monday evening.

Round Rock Police say the accident happened at Redbud Lane and Highway 79. One male was taken to Seton Wilco hospital and his condition is unknown.

Redbud Lane will remain closed due to possible track damage. Union Pacific personnel on scene are inspecting the track. They say preliminary results show no serious damage. The train will be moved to a nearby siding where final inspections will be made.
