FDA approves new cholesterol lowering drug

AUSTIN (KXAN) — The Centers for Disease Control says more than 100 million Americans have high cholesterol and many take drugs to help lower it. But you have more options now, because the F-D-A has approved a new kind of drug called Repatha to help.

Joining us to explain is Dr. Vivek Goswami, a clinical cardiologist with the Heart Hospital of Austin.
