Austin policy changes could mean transparency for lobbyists

AUSTIN (KXAN) — Today you can help make a change to the city of Austin’s lobbyist law.

Your voice can be heard this evening at a public hearing held by the city’s Ethics Commission.

City leaders are wanting to change the 40-year-old policy.

This effort could lead to more transparency regarding lobby groups who try to influence Austin policies.

The meeting tonight begins at 6:30 p.m. at City Hall. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
