South Austin collision sends 4 to hospital

AUSTIN (KXAN) — Two adults and two children have been taken to the hospital following a collision in South Austin Saturday morning. Austin Travis County EMS responded to a two vehicle collision at 10:39 a.m. Saturday at the intersection of Slaughter lane and Sugarberry.

One person was trapped in one of the vehicles, but emergency crews were able to get them out.

One adult woman was transported to University Medical Center Brackenridge with injuries that are not expected to be life threatening. One adult male was also transported to Brackenridge with a potentially serious medical issue, according to EMS. Two pediatric patients were transported to St. David’s Medical Center with minor injuries.
