PFLUGERVILLE, Texas (KXAN) – A man is behind bars after, the Travis County Sheriff’s Office believes, he fired a .22 rifle into his neighbor’s bedroom window, where a woman and her child were laying in bed.

On Thursday, around 1 p.m., deputies responded to a home in the 1500 block of Tea Leaf Lane for a shots fired call. A man claimed a bullet came through the window of a bedroom where his girlfriend and five-month-old baby were.

While deputies were on scene, they saw a neighbor with a cleaning rod for a long gun. The man was later identified as Richard Garrison, 22.

When Garrison was questioned, he admitted he had been firing a .22 at the ground, towards the direction of the home. Deputies determined the shots were being fired in line with the victim’s window.

Garrison is booked in the Travis County Jail on a charge of felonious Deadly Conduct and is being held on a $50,000 bond. He does not have a prior history for related activity.
