AUSTIN (KXAN) – Austin Police have identified and arrested at least two men they say have been involved in an on-going bicycle theft ring in Austin.

Police say the value of the stolen bicycles is between $2,500 and $30,000.

During the course of this investigation, APD has been able to move so quickly, sometimes property was returned to its rightful owners before they even knew it was missing.

Authorities say when it comes to keeping tabs on your bike, the best thing you can do is register it through APD’s bike registration program.
