Austin-based Tiff’s Treats secures $14M for expansion

AUSTIN (KXAN) — The Austin-based company known for delivering warm cookies to your front door is continuing its expansion.

Tiff’s Treats announced it has closed more than $14 million round of funding, including debt and equity. With the new dough, Tiff’s Treats plans to expand into new locations.

Tiff’s Treats opened its first shop in Austin 16 years ago and currently has five shops in town. With stores in Dallas, Houston and San Antonio, the company boasts a total of 18 stores across the state.

“Tiff and I have always been lucky to have great investors backing us. From our first round in 2008 to this most current round, we have had an incredibly supportive and helpful group of people who believe in the Tiff’s Treats brand, folks like Mark Melton, Kurt Somerholter and Drew Duncan,” said Tiff’s Treats co-founder, Leon Chen.

A big part of the company is the people who work for them. “We’ve been very fortunate I think because we started here on campus where we had a wonderful pool of people to choose from, and they’ve continued to grow within the company,” said Chen.
