AUSTIN (KXAN) — Emergency crews are trying to revive a man who was pulled from the water at McKinney Falls State Park Saturday afternoon.

The emergency call came in at 3:50 p.m. Austin police say a man in his mid-20s was taken out of the water and rescue crews were performing CPR.

Witnesses say a man who couldn’t swim was stuck under some rocks in the water.

“This wonderful young girl, I don’t know what her name was, but she dove in there and she pulled him out and with her friends,” says Shirley Robson. “They got him to a rock and then they started doing CPR on him.”

Austin-Travis County EMS say they were able to regain a pulse on the patient and transported the patient to University Medical Center Brackenridge for treatment.
