AUSTIN (KXAN) — If you’re headed to Blues on the Green on Wednesday, make sure you know of some traffic changes around there.

Beginning, Aug. 5 the following traffic changes will be in place after 9 p.m.:

  • Barton Springs will be closed entirely from Robert E. Lee to Columbus at Mopac. No eastbound or westbound traffic will be allowed.
  • Westbound traffic on Barton Springs will be diverted northbound onto Sterzing. No Access to Robert E. Lee from Barton Springs.
  • All eastbound lanes of Barton Springs from Robert E. Lee will remain open.

The city says it’s implementing these changes to allow for pedestrian traffic to move through the area after the concerts are over. Vehicular traffic will return to normal around 11 p.m., or sooner, depending on how fast people leave the concert.
