AUSTIN (KXAN) — A power outage in North Austin has been fixed. According to Austin Energy, the outage was reported around 12:20 p.m. and during the peak of the outage approximately 5,000 customers were without power.

A spokesperson for Austin Energy says the outage was due to a transformer that tripped in a substation.

The affected area included the Domain shopping center, the University of Texas JJ Pickle Center and locations near Gracy Woods.

As of 2:30 p.m., Austin Energy restored power to all of the customers in the area.
