AUSTIN (KXAN) — An Austin family continues to search for answers following their son’s death in 2013.
Roberto Reyna, who would tun 38 on Sunday, was shot dead July 19th, 2013 on Gonzales Street. Police searched the neighborhood without finding evidence or a suspect to link to the murder.
Saturday Reyna’s family held a vigil in their east Austin home.
“I’m not pleading and I’m not begging for justice anymore because I’ve already done that for two years. Now I’m demanding it. I know there’s people out there that have information regarding this case. It’s time, it’s time to come out and let APD know exactly what happened,” said Eva Reyna, Robert’s mother.
The case is currently open as the Austin Police Department urges anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to call the Homicide Tip Line at 512-477-3588 or Crimestoppers at 512-472-TIPS or text “Tip 103” + your message to CRIMES.
