FLORENCE, Ariz. (AP) — Authorities say a Texas woman hiking with her fiance has died while hiking on the Sunset Trail at Picacho Peak.

According to the Pinal County Sheriff’s Office, the 29-year-old woman became disorientated around 2:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Search and Rescue crews arrived and found the woman about a half-mile from the trailhead.

Paramedics performed emergency efforts on the woman, but she was pronounced dead around 3 p.m.

Sheriff’s officials say the death appears to be heat related and no foul play is suspected.

The name of the woman and her hometown in Texas wasn’t immediately released.

Authorities say she had been vacationing in the Phoenix area with her fiance.
