Keep Austin Playing aims to give health tips to Austin families

AUSTIN (KXAN)-  Wednesday, Austin city officials are giving you and your family a chance to get outdoors for some free fun while learning some valuable health tips.

According to our partners at Free Fun In Austin, Keep Austin Playing is a day created by the Austin Parks and Recreation Department to enrich, educate, and empower the Austin Community to cultivate healthy lifestyle changes as it celebrates National Parks and Recreation Month.

This family-fun event will feature a portable climbing wall, an inflatable batting cage, a bike rodeo, human foosball, an obstacle course, corn hole, tailgate games, prizes and informational booths relating to health, wellness and play.

It’s from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Palmer Events Center, 900 Barton Springs Rd, Austin.
