Condor Airlines offering nonstop flights from Austin to Frankfurt, Germany

AUSTIN (KXAN) — If you want a direct flight to Germany from Austin, you will be able to do that starting next summer. On Wednesday, Condor Airlines announced they will be offering nonstop service from Austin-Bergstrom International Airport to Frankfurt International Airport starting June 27, 2016.

The seasonal flights are scheduled to operate on Mondays and Thursdays. Flights are scheduled to depart Austin at 7:55 p.m. and arrive in Frankfurt at 1:10 p.m. the following day. Flights are scheduled to depart Frankfurt at 1:25 p.m. and arrive in Austin at 5:55 p.m. (all times local and subject to change). Flights will operate on Condor’s B767-300ER with 259 seats (18 Business/35 Premium/206 Economy).

This international flight is one of several that have recently launched in Austin.

“Recently the airport opened a bigger, better U.S. Customs area and a bright airy new security checkpoint area. And we are continuing to facilitate growth with a terminal expansion in the works,” said Austin Mayor Steve Adler.

ABIA now has a total of five nonstop international flights: Cancun, Cabo, Toronto, London, and now Frankfurt.
