Boil water notice lifted in Bastrop

BASTROP, Texas (KXAN) — Bastrop County says it’s safe to drink the water again following a two day boil water notice.

Several people living a portion of Tahitian Village in Bastrop were being asked to boil their water after a main broke. The order was issued by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality for people living in Bastrop County Water Control and Improvement District #2.

Water should be brought to a vigorous, rolling boil and then boiled for two minutes, according to the notice.

Officials will notify customers when the water is again safe for consumption.
