GIDDINGS, Texas (KXAN) — Authorities caught up with David “Frosty” Diaz, 50, over the weekend, arresting him in connection to the killing of Robert Morales Jr. in Austin last year.

The Lone Star Fugitive Task Force arrested Diaz at 7:15 p.m. Friday without incident in the 500 block of South Polk Street in Giddings. Task Force officers say they were able to make the arrest after interviewing Diaz’s associates and surveying a home where they believed he was hiding.

Police say Diaz has ties with the Texas Syndicate gang and is the last of a trio of suspects wanted in Morales’ death to be arrested. Mark Quiroga, 39, and Lisa Salas, 47, were the other suspects in the homicide. On Tuesday, they were arrested and charged with conspiracy to commit murder, a second-degree felony.

Diaz is being charged with first-degree murder.
