AUSTIN (AP) — The Texas state high boys and girls basketball tournaments will return to San Antonio’s Alamodome for the next two seasons.

The University Interscholastic League announced the plan Thursday. The tournaments moved outside of Austin for the first time last season because of a shortage of hotel space for fans and teams caused by the South by Southwest festivals in the capital city.

Although Austin continues to add new downtown hotels, league officials said the move to San Antonio was a good experience and signed a new two-year contract with the Alamodome.

Tickets for the2016 tournament go on sale May 26.
