Flash floods sweep school bus off road into ditch

AUSTIN (KXAN) — Heavy rains caused problems in Fort Worth Thursday morning. Flash floods there caused a school bus to slide off the road and into a water-filled ditch. No students were onboard, and the driver was able to get out and is OK.

School district officials say their buses were running up to 20 minutes behind schedule due to weather.

Wednesday night, storms caused more flooding in Wichita Falls. Local roads and parking lots are under water. Officials have been working to pull cars out of areas with high water.

So far, there have been no reports of any injuries. People in several neighborhoods have been ordered to evacuate, however.
