Attempted sexual assault near Texas State University’s campus

SAN MARCOS, Texas (KXAN) — San Marcos police are investigating an attempted sexual assault that happened near Texas State University. Police got the call about the incident in the 1200 block of North LBJ Drive, near campus.

Police say a man in his early 30’s offered the victim, a woman, a ride home.

The woman realized something was wrong when he started driving the wrong way. She was able to then fight him off and escape the vehicle.

The suspect is described as a 30 year old Hispanic man weighing about 200 pounds. He was wearing a gray T-shirt and was also driving a black four-door truck.
