Multicar crash in North Austin kills one person

AUSTIN (KXAN) — Police are investigating after a deadly multicar crash in North Austin. The crash involving three cars happened around 3:30 a.m. Sunday at the intersection of East Parmer Lane and Dessau Road.

Police say the driver of a pickup truck slammed into a car. Investigators say the truck was going the wrong way down the road and speeding.

According to Austin-Travis County EMS, six people were involved in the crash. The driver of the car was a woman in her 20s, who died at the scene. Two other people were taken to University Medical Center Brackenridge with serious injuries. The conditions of the other three are unknown.
