Former youth pastor accused of sexually assaulting teen gets probation

BASTROP, Texas (KXAN) — A man who pleaded guilty to charges of sexually assaulting a child was sentenced to six years probation. Isaiah Arellano, 25, was accused of having sex with a 15-year-old girl in 2014. The former youth pastor was living with the girl’s family for a couple months after going through some marital issues, the teen’s mother said.

The mother said she was sleeping on the couch in her living room in April when she got up to go to the kitchen. She said she looked to her left where the game room is located and saw Arellano having sex with her daughter.

After the incident, Julie kicked Arellano out and called the Bastrop County Sheriff’s Office. Investigators said the teen told investigators she and Arellano had sex on three separate occasions.

The main pastor of Faith Impact Fellowship told KXAN last year that Arellano is his nephew and that he was dismissed from the church. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
