Free McDonald’s breakfast for students and teachers

AUSTIN (KXAN) — McDonald’s in Central Texas wanted to give students and teachers a break during STAAR testing — handing out free breakfast Tuesday until 9 a.m. Students and teachers got a free breakfast — courtesy of the golden arches.

The options included a 250-calorie Egg White Delight or Fruit and Maple Oatmeal, Minute Maid Apple Juice or 1 percent low-fat milk and apple slices. Students had to be with a parent or guardian, and teachers had to show a valid school ID.
