Cause of Southeast Travis County flea market fire still unknown

TRAVIS COUNTY, Texas (KXAN) — Tuesday morning, fire investigators are looking into the cause of a fire at a local flea market. It happened around 10 p.m. in Southeast Travis County off FM 812 near U.S. Highway 183.

Fire crews used water tanks to help put out the fire because of the lack of hydrants in the area. The fire destroyed five stands that looked like vendor spaces and damaged several others. Damage also happened to an RV and a car.

There were no reports of injuries, but investigators say someone does live at the flea market. However, that person was not on site at the time of the fire.
