Rouse HS staff tips off parents about man, 29, visiting daughter at school

AUSTIN (KXAN) — A staff member at a Leander ISD school concerned about a student’s welfare helped her parents uncover a relationship involving their teenage daughter. According to an arrest affidavit, Ali Etebari, 29, was in a sexual relationship with a 15-year-old Rouse High School student.

The victim’s parents learned about the relationship from a staff member at Rouse High who told them a man was trying to bring the girl lunch at school. After the school called to notify the parents, the teen’s parents looked through their daughter’s cellphone and found sexually explicit videos of their daughter and Etebari.

Etebari does not work for the school district and the girl says she met Etebari through an online messaging service.

Once in custody, Etebari will be charged with sexual assault of a child. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
