Round Rock man uses dead man’s ID in Internet scam

ROUND ROCK, Texas (KXAN) — A Round Rock man will spend years in a Mississippi prison for using the identity of a dead man in an Internet scam. John Wiggins pleaded guilty Wednesday to two counts of using the identity in a scam on Craigslist.

Police say he posted a truck for sale online using the dead man’s identity and collected money, but the truck did not exist. A judge sentenced Wiggins to five years in prison.
