AUSTIN (KXAN) — Customers of restaurants and bars at two Austin hotels will want to check their credit card statements after hackers may have stolen some personal information. White Lodging, a company that operates hotels, says two Austin hotels were among 10 hit across the country between July 3, 2014 and Feb. 6, 2015.

The company says the Austin Marriott South, near Interstate 35 and State Highway 71, and the Courtyard Austin Downtown, near the Austin Convention Center, were hit.

White Lodging believes customers’ names, card numbers, security cards and expiration dates were the only things taken, and only from hotel restaurants and bars. They do not believe customers who only paid for hotel rooms had their information taken.

The company is providing one year of free fraud protection and identity protection services through Experian to those affected. To sign up, send an email to WhiteLodging@protectmvid.com or by calling 1-866-926-9803.

Three White Lodging hotels, including the Austin Marriott South, were affected by a similar data breach in 2013.
