Man charged in connection to 15 North Austin break-ins

AUSTIN (KXAN) — A man linked to a string of home burglaries in North Austin is currently facing felony charges in two break-ins, according to an arrest affidavit. Police say Juan Carlos Limas-Nava, 21, confessed to being the getaway driver for two burglaries at the Stonegate Mobile Home Park, 1401 E. Rundberg Ln.

Fifteen burglaries were reported inside the community between Jan. 28 and Feb. 3, police said, and witness reports linked Limas-Nava’s car to at least two of the cases.

On Feb. 4, officers found Limas-Nava’s car parked at a Motel 6 near St. Johns Avenue and Interstate 35. Authorities found six people, including Limas-Nava, inside two motel rooms rented under his name. The also found several items reported stolen from people living at Stonegate, the document said.

Limas-Nava was booked into the Travis County Jail and bond was set at $50,000. The warrant did not list any other suspects wanted in connection to the case.
