E. 6th Street at Navasota Street reopens following gas leak

Crews working to assess gas leak at East 6th and Navasota (Sean Farrar / KXAN)

AUSTIN (KXAN) — Texas Gas Service closed East Sixth Street at Navasota Street as crews worked to fix a broken gas line. A Texas Gas Service spokeswoman said their technicians were out performing routine surveys when they detected some natural gas underground.

The road will reopened around 9 p.m. Wednesday when crews fixed the problem, The leak did not cause a public safety issue.
