AUSTIN (KXAN) — A new report released overnight highlights successes and areas to improve in health care and other issues.
The national study by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and the University of Wisconsin’s Population Health Institute looked at each county across the country.
Researchers looked at several issues: education, transportation, housing, and several others that influence how long and well people live.
Three Central Texas Counties ranked among the Top 10 for overall health:

- 2. Collin County
- 3. Williamson County
- 4. Denton County
- 5. Hays County
- 6. Mills County
- 7. Fort Bend County
- 8. Concho County
- 9. Travis County
- 10. Brazos County
This new report also highlights issues that need improvement in Texas including children in poverty, STDs, and adult obesity.
