Capturing Austin from sunrise to sunset

Austin Nights from Andrew Takano

AUSTIN (KXAN) — A local photographer who KXAN News has featured before is back at it again! This time, Andrew Takano calls his project “Austin Nights,” which takes you across Austin from when the sun rises until the sun sets.

Takano’s new video has shots of Downtown, the Capitol, UT Tower, Austin City Hall and many more. Takano said he used special manual motion control techniques to get the look he wanted.

In a note sent to KXAN, Takano says “I’ve been at this for a few years, and the fast paced growth of Austin just keeps me going out night after night to shoot new footage. There’s always something new to see, and always a new angle to take photos from.”
