Landfill Harmonic makes SXSW debut

AUSTIN (KXAN) – A South American orchestra is getting a lot of attention around the world about the music they’re creating through instruments made out of garbage.

A documentary about the Recycled Orchestra of Cateura is making it’s debut at SXSW in Austin. The film is called Landfill Harmonic and it follows a Paraguayan musical group that plays instruments made entirely out of garbage.

The director and executive producer of the film stopped by our studios to talk about the impact the documentary is having.

Everyone can come out to two screenings of the film.
