New Braunfels police seek help in deadly hit-and-run

NEW BRAUNFELS, Texas (KXAN) — New Braunfels police are asking for anyone with information about a deadly hit-and-run to come forward. Shortly before 8:30 p.m. on Friday, police were called to the southbound lanes of the Interstate 35 frontage road, south of Schmidt Avenue. Officers found the man lying unconscious with severe injuries, but still breathing. Anthony Ullola, 65, was taken to San Antonio Military Medical Center, where he later died.

A police investigation determined that Ullola was walking in the right lane of the frontage road when he was hit by the right side of a car that later took off from the scene. The suspect’s car has been identified as a 2001-2003 GM-brand minivan. Video surveillance footage from the area revealed that van could be a Chevrolet Venture, Oldsmobile Silhouette or Pontiac Grand Transport.
