Body pulled from Travis County creek

SPICEWOOD, Texas (KXAN) — Rescuers recovered a body Wednesday from a creek near a subdivision in western Travis County. The body was found in about two feet of water in an area near the 5900 block of Pedernales Summit Parkway and State Highway 71.

Authorities have yet to positively identify the body and provided no further information about the person. However, the spot where the body was found is in the same area where a woman was reported missing late last month.

Belle Patcharin Neal was last seen Jan. 30 in the 18400 block of Deep Well Drive. Sheriff’s deputies and TEXSAR search and rescue crews have looked for Neal in that area several times, but had not been able to find her.

The Travis County Sheriff’s Office said Wednesday that Neal is the only active missing person case they are investigating in that area.
